Civil engineering has had its share of failures. Some of mankind’s proudest achievements in the field of civil engineering were also responsible for their most sorrowful moments. In our quest for perfection, many of our constructs have failed. These dark chapters in the history of civil engineering serve as a reminder for us to do better. And we can do better.
